Everyday care
Wipe your piece with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it immediately. Avoid soaking, dishwashers and harsh chemical cleaners — they dull both wood and resin. Keep the piece out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the epoxy's clarity and the wood's warm color.
Feeding the wood
Olive wood loves a little nourishment. Every few weeks (or whenever it looks thirsty), rub in a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil or beeswax. This keeps the wood from drying out and deepens the grain over time.
Caring for the epoxy
To restore shine, buff the resin gently with a microfiber cloth. For a light scratch, a small amount of fine polishing compound works well — always test a hidden area first.
Heat and moisture
Use a trivet or coaster under hot items, and keep pieces away from radiators and heat vents. Wood is a natural material and reacts to big swings in temperature and humidity.
For furniture
Add felt pads under table legs, avoid dragging, and lift rather than slide. With this simple routine, your LumvinWood piece will only get more beautiful with age. Questions about your specific piece? Get in touch.
