Caring for your olive wood & epoxy piece
With a little care, your LumvinWood piece will stay beautiful for generations.
Everyday care
- Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Dry immediately.
- Avoid soaking, dishwashers and harsh chemical cleaners.
- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the epoxy's clarity and the wood's color.
- Avoid placing very hot items directly on the surface — use a trivet or coaster.
Feeding the wood
For boards and heavily used surfaces, apply food-safe mineral oil or a beeswax finish every few weeks to nourish the wood and keep it from drying out.
Epoxy surfaces
Buff lightly with a microfiber cloth to restore shine. For deeper scratches, a fine polishing compound can be used sparingly.
Furniture
Use felt pads under legs, avoid dragging, and keep away from radiators and heat vents to prevent movement in the wood.
